With a background of hairstyling I have always had an interest in colour and texture and I have now applied my skills to painting. I am particularly interested in the interaction between natural and manmade textures and the changes caused by environmental effects.  My inspiration comes from the aspects of the River Adur which is so close to my roots. It’s full of nostalgia and endless beauty to be found in water, tides, and patterns in all its moods.  I use my art as a journey around the river and its surroundings encapturing erosion, corrosion and decay.  I love all the different textures including relics and man–made structures recognizing architecture especially ancient buildings.  I show appreciation of the elements with its entire aura from dawn to dusk. I want to involve the viewer in considering the influences which have shaped the objects.
