Artist’s Statement

My work has explored: the family album, biography, the snapshot, memory, inheritance, the maternal gaze, joy, pain, pleasure, empty nest, growing, leaving, loving, caring, sharing, missing, pride, anger, frustration, a universal maternal gaze.

I have been greatly influenced by the work of: Jo Spence,Louise Bourgeouis, Annette Messager, Mary Kelly, and Sally Mann.   http://www.livimwsart.co.uk
